BCG Ballers Tournament – Competition Series Overview
1. Tournament Structure
The BCG Ballers tournament is a season-long pinball tournament operated by BCG Rewards Plus. Players accumulate ranking points by participating in official BCG Ballers competitions held throughout the year (see competition details below). At the end of the season, the player with the highest cumulative point total will be awarded the BCG Ballers Grand Prize.
2. Eligibility
-
Entry is open to BCG Rewards Plus members aged 16 years or older. This includes BCG staff.
-
Players under 16 may participate with parental or guardian consent.
-
Participation in each competition requires the purchase of a BCG Tournament Pack (currently $30), which includes game tokens, tournament access, snacks, and drinks.
-
minimum 3 players per competition and a maximum of 6 players per machine.
BCG currently has 2 machines available and can host a competition of up to 12 players.
3. Competition structures & Scoring System
- There are 5 rounds for each competition.
- Players get 1 shot consisting of 3 balls to set their scores per round.
- The player with the highest score in the round wins that round and is awarded the most competition points. Points vary depending on the amount of players in the competition. All players are awarded points based on the number of players in each competition (see point table below).
- At the end of the 5 rounds the player with the highest point tally in total from the 5 rounds is the competition winner.
- All points earned from the competition go to your BCG Baller Ranking.
- At the end of the BCG Baller season the #1 Baller in the tournament will be awarded the prize pool that is determined by BCG depending on the tournament performance of that season.
Points are awarded as follows:
Final Placement |
Points Awarded PER ROUND |
1st Place |
60 Points |
2nd Place |
50 Points |
3rd Place |
40 Points |
4th Place |
30 Points |
5th Place |
20 Points |
6th Place |
10 Points |
There is a maximum of 6 players per pinball machine with a maximum of 60 points per round. If a player wins all 5 rounds then they earn the maximum of 300 points for that competition.
If there are 3 players in the competiton then there is a maximum of 30 points per round. If a player wins all 5 rounds then they earn the maximum of 150 points for that competition.
When split into teams (see below for team numbers) the amount of points allowed to be earned is limitied to the amount of players on that team.
For example: in a 7 player competition where there is one team with 3 players and the other with 4 then the maximum points a player can score in one round for is 30 or 40 depending on which team they are on.
In the case of uneven numbers between teams, 1 player is required to switch teams to balance points after 3 rounds.
With 12 players split between 2 machines (6 per machine) the maximum points awarded is still 60 for each round per machine.
How competitions are run
For a 3 and 4 player competition all players use the same machine each round. However, with a 4 player competition the players can make the choice to split into teams of 2.
The team split and points for all competitions from 3-12 players is as follows:
3 player comp is 10, 20 and 30 points per round.
4 player comp is 10, 20, 30 and 40 points per round
OR
split into teams 2-2 is 10 and 20 points per round.
3-2 for 5 players
Team of 3 is 10, 20 and 30 points per round.
Team of 2 is 10 and 20 points per round
3-3 for 6 players
Team of 3 is 10, 20 and 30 points per round.
4-3 for 7 players
Team of 3 is 10, 20 and 30 points per round.
Team of 4 is 10, 20, 30 and 40 points per round.
4-4 for 8 players
Team of 4 is 10, 20, 30 and 40 points per round.
5-4 for 9 players
Team of 4 is 10, 20, 30 and 40 points per round.
Team of 5 is 10, 20, 30,40 and 50 points per round.
5-5 for 10 players
Team of 5 is 10, 20, 30,40 and 50 points per round.
6-5 for 11 players
Team of 5 is 10, 20, 30,40 and 50 points per round.
Team of 6 is 10, 20, 30,40, 50 and 60 points per round.
6-6 for 12 players
Team of 6 is 10, 20, 30,40, 50 and 60 points per round.
For competitions with 5 or more players, round 1 is played by both teams on seperate machines.
Teams then switch machines and repeat rotation for rounds 2, 3 4 and 5.
Odd numbered teams are required to have one player switch team to balance points after round 3.
In tournaments where teams are uneven (e.g., 5v4), the player with the lowest individual score after Round 3 will switch to the smaller team. This ensures fairness in team size and scoring opportunity for the remaining rounds.
With teams up to 8 players the final round is played as a multiplayer round where all scores are recorded in the same game against eachother. There is a maximum of 4 players in a multiplayer round per machine.
For competitions with over 8 players all rounds are played solo.
When all rounds are played the player who has accumulated the highest point tally is the competition winner and wins the competition "cashback prize".
Points are recorded and go toward your Baller Ranking,
If there is a tie between two or more players then there is a sudden death match.
in the event of a sudden death match all players get 1 ball to set a score. The person who gets the most points with their 1 ball shot wins.
Only official BCG Ballers events are eligible for competition points.
